Pinealon Dosage Protocol

Glu-Asp-Arg (EDR) · synthetic tripeptide bioregulator

The reference protocol starts at 1 mg daily for days 1–5, then 1.5 mg for days 6–14 and 2 mg for days 15–20. A 20 mg vial plus 3 mL gives 6.67 mg/mL, so the 1 mg start is 15 units (0.15 mL) on a U-100 syringe.

The attributed reference describes 10–20 day cycles and an optional extension to 28 days.

At the same reference, repeat cycles are spaced 2–3 months apart.

A full 20-day stepped schedule totals 30.5 mg, so it needs two 20 mg vials.

02 · HOW TO MIX

Mixing a 20 mg vial with 3 mL of BAC water

Using a 1 mL (100-unit) insulin syringe, 3 full draws of bacteriostatic water gives 6.67 mg/mL.

  1. Bacteriostatic water running slowly down the inside wall of a peptide vial1

    Add the water slowly

Wipe both rubber stoppers with an alcohol swab and let them dry. Draw 3 mL of bacteriostatic water and let it run slowly down the inside of the vial wall — not straight onto the powder.

  2. Hand gently swirling an upright vial in a small circle2

    Swirl gently

Swirl or roll the vial gently until the powder has dissolved. Give it a few minutes to settle if needed.

  3. A vial being shaken with a red cross through it3

    Don't shake it

Shaking can damage the peptide and cause foaming. Gentle swirling only.

  4. Close-up of a vial with small undissolved particles and a caution symbol4

    Check it's fully clear

Only use it once it is fully clear with no particles. Label the vial with the date and 6.67 mg/mL, then store it in the fridge at 2–8 °C.

How it works

Pinealon, also called EDR, is a synthetic tripeptide with the sequence Glu-Asp-Arg.

Cell and rodent research has explored whether EDR affects oxidative-stress responses, cell survival and gene expression. These proposed mechanisms have not established a clinical benefit or a human dose.

Illustrated mechanism explainer

What the research shows

  • A 2011 cell and animal paper reported dose-dependent reductions in oxidative-stress-related reactive oxygen species and necrotic cell death in rat cerebellar granule cells, neutrophils and PC12 cells. This is preclinical evidence, not a human outcome.
  • In a rat prenatal-hyperhomocysteinaemia model, pregnant rats received Pinealon 10 micrograms/kg/day intraperitoneally for 5 days before methionine loading. The 45-day behavioural experiment used 23 offspring in each group; this does not establish a human dose.
  • A 2015 PubMed-indexed abstract combined Pinealon with Vesugen in a reported 32 people aged 41–83. It did not provide a Pinealon-only dose, randomisation details or an adverse-event rate, and its reported sex counts total 30 rather than 32.
  • A ClinicalTrials.gov query for Pinealon returned no study records when checked for this guide. A current DailyMed query also returned no US drug-label records for Pinealon.
  • No Australian ARTG entry or US FDA label was identified in the searches for this guide; the chart is not a TGA or US FDA approved dosing schedule.

Reported side effects

  • Adequate controlled human safety data and a Pinealon-only adverse-event rate were not identified. The small 2015 report combined Pinealon with Vesugen, so its findings cannot be assigned to Pinealon alone.
  • The 2015 abstract reported prooxidant activity and a decrease in CD34-positive haematopoietic cells in its combined-peptide group; the clinical meaning and causation are uncertain.
  • The TGA warns that unapproved injectable peptides may be poorly labelled and that identity, strength, sterility, contaminants and toxins may be unknown.

Important notes

  • These are reference-site educational amounts, not a TGA- or US FDA-approved Pinealon dose regimen.
  • Human evidence is sparse and does not establish Pinealon as a treatment for sleep, cognitive problems, neurodegeneration or any other condition.
  • For athletes, Pinealon is not named in the 2026 WADA List. WADA S0 prohibits pharmacological substances with no current approval by a governmental health authority, so check directly with an anti-doping organisation before use.
  • The TGA advises caution with unapproved peptide products because vial identity, concentration, sterility and contaminants may be uncertain.
  • Never use a mixed vial that is cloudy or has particles in it.

Injection basics

  • Use a new sterile 1 mL (100-unit) U-100 insulin syringe, 27–31G, every time — never reuse or share.
  • Wipe the vial stopper and the skin with an alcohol swab and let both dry first.
  • Inject under the skin (subcutaneously) of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, and rotate sites.
  • Put used syringes straight into an approved sharps container — the NDSS lists Australian disposal options.

06 · QUICK ANSWERS

Pinealon questions

How many units is 1 mg of Pinealon in a 20 mg vial?

With 3 mL in a 20 mg vial, the concentration is 6.67 mg/mL. A 1 mg dose is 15 units, or 0.15 mL, on a U-100 syringe. At the same mix, 1.5 mg is 22.5 units (0.225 mL) and 2 mg is 30 units (0.30 mL).

How much bacteriostatic water is used for 20 mg Pinealon?

The attributed 20 mg reference protocol uses 3 mL of bacteriostatic water. That produces 6.67 mg/mL, where 15 units equals 1 mg and 30 units equals 2 mg on a U-100 syringe.

How long does a 20 mg Pinealon vial last?

At 1 mg once daily, 20 mg lasts 20 days. At 1.5 mg once daily it lasts about 13.3 days, and at 2 mg once daily it lasts 10 days. The complete 20-day stepped reference schedule totals 30.5 mg, so it requires two 20 mg vials.
